EMT Basic Staten Island SUMMER 2024
Healthcare Professional course
Listed below is the first session for the STATEN ISLAND EMT Basic program. This is the revised New York State Department of Health EMT curriculum and include both didactic and clinical training sessions. Students are required to complete a 16-hour field internship on an ambulance (arranged by SIEMT). This course includes the most current CPR certification card, textbook (on a tablet), Google Classroom access, blood pressure cuff, pen light, oxygen wrench, and golf shirt. Students will also have access to an online area with additional resources including all protocols and lecture materials.
All classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday evenings from 7pm-10:30pm, unless otherwise noted, at the SIEMT training center located at 62 Sand Lane, Staten Island, NY 10305 downstairs. The dates are listed below. There is a $100 returnable deposit included in the cost for the use of the tablet device. This money will be returned at the end of the course when the tablet is returned.

Refresher course
The STATEN ISLAND EMT refresher is for the EMT who would like to challenge the cognitive and psychomotor examinations. SIEMT provides all of the latest updates to the curriculum and protocols along with the most current American Heart Association CPR Guidelines for Healthcare Providers. Based on the student’s exam, we analyze which areas show weakness and require the student to attend those lectures. The date listed below is the first night of class. The remaining sessions will be held on various Wednesday evenings at the SIEMT training center located at 62 Sand Lane, Staten Island, NY 10305 downstairs.
This class requires a minimum of 2 students. If minimum student registration is not met, the class will be cancelled and monies refunded.
EMT REFRESHER BROOKLYN
Refresher course
Listed below is the first session for the BROOKLYN EMT challenge is for the EMT who would like to challenge the cognitive and psychomotor examinations. Healthcare Professional course
CEVO 4 Ambulance course promotes critical thinking during high-pressure driving situations and offers defensive driving strategies to avoid collisions. The course trains emergency vehicle drivers how to navigate through traffic safely in both emergency and non-emergency situations and features videos with ambulance driver simulations followed by group discussions.
